I want to extend a thank you out to the Daily World for putting together two great stories on the Opelousas Lighthouse Mission.

We at the mission really appreciate a helping hand in creating a positive image of the direction that the Lighthouse Mission is headed.

Men seek GED here!

I am extremely excited that some of our men are currently working on getting their GED. They study for five days a week, and spend at least three hours each day working through books and other study material.

Education is very important to the success and future of these men, and this is a huge start. I am very proud of the work ethic of these men, and will continue to encourage more to get involved.

Real life change is occurring at the Lighthouse Mission. God is doing an amazing work here!
